When a guest clicks record, it records. Instantly. I would like the guests to see at least a 5 seconds countdown. If they are not ready they could pause the countdown and it would reset to the initial 5 seconds. As is, instantly, requires us to educate the guests that the recording is ON as soon as they touch that button.

Most recording apps/tools allow you to set the timer to 3, 5 or 10 secs ex: when using your phone camera to take a pic using the built-in countdown timer.
Keeping any features that are available elsewhere truly "standard," will help eliminate learning curves, unnecessary cognitive overload for users and eliminate barriers to people seeing Rumble Studio as sth that 'feels' familiar and meets their needs.
The simpler the better.

Carl Robinson: It would be awesome if this could also include a timer of how long the guest has been recording. This will serve a double purpose of showing them the length of their recording as they speak as well as confirm that they are being recorded.

3 seconds is plenty - 5 seconds is too long.. Great idea!

it'd be nice to have this as an option, so we can adjust it as needed. We can set anywhere between 0-5 second countdown
