Audio level indicator

Level meter to show hosts/guests that the selected mic is picking up audio before they record, and that it's not too high/low a level. This is reassuring, and allows users to adjust their mic is the level is wrong, improving audio quality.

The waveform currently does a great job as an input activity detector, and gives some indication of relative audio level by its magnitude. Could we add some kind of scale so people know if their audio level is in the right range, or over/under? Usually they look like the vertical meter below, but perhaps we could color our waveform itself with this three color scheme?

Good point. To investigate to see how the dB measure is reliable between browsers/devices and what would be the right color scale.
